AP Supervisor
Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, assigning, and monitoring work of the accounts payable staff in the payment of the bills for the company and maintenance of the accounts payable ledger. Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and procedures is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and support accounts payable staff to ensure departmental deadlines are met.

Verify and check works of AP clerks.

Review and post all accounts payable batches ensuring that the batches have been entered and
audited according to the department guidelines.

Conduct and supervise weekly check runs.

Review and determine the appropriate general ledger account coding.

Ensure past due balances are researched and resolved.

Ensure all outstanding checks are researched and reconciled on a monthly basis.

Work with outside vendors, Property Managers, and Property Supervisors to ensure that
supplies are ordered and received timely.

Update vendor prices by obtaining information/documents from vendors as often as necessary.

Supervise the accounts payable staff to ensure that vendor prices are verified before processing
payments.

Work with Vendor Relations Officer to understand the pricing structures of all approved
vendors.

Take initiative in negotiation of bills when necessary for pricing points.

Handle accounts (main accounts) accounts payable related transactions.

Assist in streamline accounts payable process.

Communicate important accounts payable issues with the Controller.

Ensure that all inquiries and requests from owner and the President are handled promptly.

Assist in interpreting and implementing the company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Training, and Education Requirements:
Minimum requirements: High school diploma required with a minimum 2 to 3 years experience in computerized accounting. Experience in and/or knowledge of Yardi, Microsoft Excel and Word. One
year supervisory skills and experience a must. Written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle multi-tasks. Time management skills.
Salary range
- $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
