Job Summary:
- Responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of an industrial wastewater treatment facility using a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system. This includes supervising staff, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Job Duties:
- Oversee plant operations and adjust processes to maintain permit compliance.
- Conduct and interpret lab tests (BOD, COD, TSS, ammonia, etc.).
- Supervise staff, assign tasks, and coordinate training.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, VFDs, and control systems.
- Monitor chemical inventories and manage waste streams.
- Coordinate with vendors, labs, and regulatory agencies.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical training preferred.
- Valid Class B Wastewater Operator License (Class A preferred).
- 4–10 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in SCADA, CMMS, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
