Job Title: Production Clerk
Reports to: Packaging and Assembly Manager
Position Status: Full Time
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Production Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory transactions within the Epicor ERP system. This role involves monitoring, identifying, and correcting inventory discrepancies — including negative inventory — while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and production staff. The position plays a key role in supporting smooth manufacturing operations and reliable material availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and audit Epicor transactions daily to ensure accuracy of inventory movements (issues, receipts, transfers, and adjustments).
- Identify and investigate negative inventory balances and other discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate with supervisors, production leads, and material handlers to resolve transaction issues or clarify material movements.
- Review and reconcile inventory reports to ensure quantities in Epicor align with physical stock.
- Perform cycle counts or support cycle count activities and follow up on count variances.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and transaction efficiency within Epicor.
- Train or assist team members on correct Epicor transaction procedures when needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual English/Spanish
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Epicor Experience a plus
High school diploma/GED.
Previous assembly/production experience minimum of 1 year experience
Good communication and organizational skills.
Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
Basic math skills.
Experience with Microsoft applications, such as outlook, excel, word and power point.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Excellent interpersonal / communications skills and ability to engage or collaborate with multi department business units and corporate leadership. Creates and sustains effective cross-business and cross-functional relationships.
