Overview:

The Sr Consultant & Actuary, LTC Product Development is responsible for product design, recommending product selection and prioritization, and leading the actuarial ideation surrounding our LTC and Linked Benefit life insurance products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  •   Approve LTC and Linked Benefit product design.
  •   Make recommendations for LTC and Linked Benefit product selection and prioritization.
  •   Develop and leverage internal and external relationships necessary to understand the LTC and Linked Benefit competitive landscape, successfully launch and service products, and compete and win.
  •   Responsible to make statements of actuarial opinion for LTC and Linked Benefit filings with various state insurance departments.

    Qualifications:

  •   Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
  •   Member of the American Academy of Actuaries
  •   5+ years of life product development and pricing experience with a focus on LTC and Linked Benefit products.
  •   Developed interpersonal and collaboration skills to interact with wide variety of people that is demanded by the job.  Ability to leverage and maximize through a matrixed operating model.
  •   Solid understanding and collaboration with LTC and Linked Benefit distribution partners, including BGAs, BDs, FIs, etc.

    **This position will be in a virtual working arrangement.**

    Physical Job Requirements:

  •   Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
  •   Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  •   Ability to utilize phone for 4-6 hours per day
  •   Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - approximately once per month. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel
