Position: The role you would play on our Multi-disciplinary Team

We are looking for a versatile, self-driven, and compassionate team player to join our fast-paced pediatric clinic. As the Facilities and IT Technician, you will support therapists by:

Hours Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

(Potential to shift hours to 6:30AM-3:30PM)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and improvement of facilities, including basic plumbing, electrical, and construction jobs.
  • Ensure
    facilities tools and equipment are in proper working order and available for use.
  • Act as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized maintenance or repairs.
  • Draft and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Complete routine deep cleaning of clinic spaces and equipment
  • Setup computers and tablets for new staff and when replacements are needed
  • General plumbing repair and upkeep
  • Repair and build therapy equipment including structures and swings
  • Assist with clinic signage and special event
    cleanup.
  • Assist with janitorial tasks when needed such as refilling dispensers and emptying trash and recycling
  • Snow management and climate weather response
  • Respond to and follow-up on support requests concerning clinical program support needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in related roles
  • Passing Background Screening and verification

Basic & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying of heavy objects (often up to 50lbs, occasionally over 100lbs) Essential to move tools, equipment, furniture, and building materials around facilities
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders/stairs Work demands a full range of motion and comfort in various positions over sustained periods.
  • Use of both fine and gross motor skills: dexterity with hand and power tools, steady arm/hand positioning, and ability to coordinate multiple limbs Required for tasks like precision adjustments, equipment repair, fittings, and assembly.
  • Endurance to work indoors and outdoors in variable conditions (heights, tight/confined spaces, extreme temperatures, uneven surfaces) Must maintain balance and safety in challenging environments.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job locations.
  • Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License & insurance in good standing

Knowledge Skills and Abilities



Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and basic building codes
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and software installation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools, materials, and equipment
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance techniques and record-keeping

Skills:

  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Windows OS, internet connectivity, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills for working with staff, vendors, and contractors
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks independently

Abilities:

  • Ability to diagnose and repair basic facility issues (e.g., leaks, hardware, furniture)
  • Ability to set up and maintain IT equipment including desktops, tablets, and accessories
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, child-centered environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects safely and repeatedly
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs, schedules, and facility emergencies
