Seeking a Dental hygienist for a part time position 1 1/2 days a week for a private dental office . You will be a part of a great team with an awesome work culture and great camaraderie .
Roles and Responsibilities
Preventive oral healthcare and promote good oral hygiene practices. This includes cleaning teeth, assessing oral health, educating patients, and assisting dentists with procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Oral Health Assessments:
Conducting thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to identify potential problems like cavities, gum disease, or oral cancer.

Dental Cleanings:
Removing plaque, tartar (calculus), and stains from teeth surfaces and below the gumline.

Preventive Treatments:
Applying fluoride treatments and dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.

Patient Education:
Instructing patients on proper brushing, flossing, and dietary habits to maintain oral health.

Radiographs:
Taking and developing dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Assisting Dentists:
Helping dentists during procedures by preparing materials, sterilizing instruments, and providing support.

Maintaining Records:
Accurately documenting patient information, treatment plans, and observations in electronic dental records.

Sterilization and Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring a clean and safe environment by sterilizing instruments and maintaining dental equipment.

Monitoring Patient Progress:
Tracking patient's response to treatment and providing ongoing support for oral health maintenance.

Adhering to Safety Protocols:
Following all infection control and safety guidelines.

Participating in public health initiatives to promote oral health awareness.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using dental instruments, taking X-rays, and applying preventive treatments.
