\nObservation MS RN - Nights - Deaconess Midtown **AUTO OFFER**
\nNO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
\nContract Length: 13 weeks
\nStart: 6/16 - Bi-weekly orientation
\nGuaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
\n*OT will go into effect after 52hrs on 48hr contracts
\nPrimary location: Midtown
\nShift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
\nFloat Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
\nOn Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
\nWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
\nRequired Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.\n\nMinimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
\nCharting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
\nPatient Population: Cardiac (chest pain, stress test/Lexiscan, post cath without intervention), CVA/TIA, hypotensive, post surgical, AKI, detox/CIWA.
\nSkillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, cardiac cath recover (femoral/TR bands), post-surgical (appy, chole, stones), NIHSS/Neuro assessment/dysphagia screen, initiate/titrate drips (Heparin, Insulin), indwelling drain management, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, blood administration/documentation. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates\n\nUnit Information: 19 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7; CN takes patient assignment.
\nUnit Strengths: Welcoming to travelers, great teamwork. Manager has been with organization over 22 years and manages the two units in the hospital with the lowest turnover.
