Position Summary:
\nThe Director of Nursing is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the development and execution of nursing programs and services. This role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective team management in a long-term care setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations
\n\n

Oversee daily operations of the nursing department
\n\t\n\t

Develop and implement nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Provide leadership and performance coaching to nursing staff
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Participate in hiring, training, and staff development efforts
\n\t\n
\n\n
Resident Care & Advocacy
\n\n
- \n\t
- \n\t
Assess resident care needs and develop individualized plans of care
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Ensure appropriate response to medication and care needs
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Conduct regular rounds and oversee care delivery quality
\n\t\n
\n\n
Compliance & Quality Assurance
\n\n
- \n\t
- \n\t
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Prepare and submit required reports, including CQI data
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Monitor and audit clinical documentation for accuracy and consistency
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Implement improvements to clinical processes as needed
\n\t\n

Budget & Resource Management
\n\n
- \n\t
- \n\t
Participate in departmental budget planning
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Monitor staff scheduling to align with budget constraints
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Ensure adequate supply and equipment availability
\n\t\n
\n\n
Qualifications:
\n\n
- \n\t
- \n\t
3+ years of experience in a long-term care or similar facility
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
5 years of leadership experience in acute or long-term care nursing
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Active RN license required
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Certified Nursing Director of Long Term Care (preferred)
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Strong knowledge of DOH regulations and staffing plans
\n\t\n\t
- \n\t
Excellent communication, analytical, and team-building skills
\n\t\n
