As a Workstation Specialist, you will provide advanced PC installation, support, and troubleshooting services for various Client offices, field sites, and remote locations. You will assist IT teams by delivering Tier 2 support for hardware, software, installation, and troubleshooting across a five-county region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support PC hardware, peripherals, and software in networked and standalone environments.
- Install and configure Cisco VPN routers, Microsoft Windows, RDP, SCCM, and Remedy.
- Troubleshoot individual PC issues, respond to service requests, and support end users via phone, email, and in person.
- Deploy and manage mobile iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads, using MDM consoles.
- Install and support network cabling, including Cat5e/6 terminations and patching.
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory and document asset management details.
- Provide support for telecommunications, including VoIP, conferencing tools, and unified communications.
- Troubleshoot and support diagnostic software for field equipment and fleet management.
- Assist with documentation of technical processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Travel to multiple sites using a personal vehicle, transporting computer equipment as needed.
Required Skills, Experience, Education, and Competencies:
- 2+ years of experience in enterprise PC hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of network configurations, LAN/WAN, and Cisco VPN routers.
- Experience with premise cabling, including Cat5e/6 installation and termination.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to document processes and improve operational efficiencies.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adhere to established SOPs.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $20.00 to $40.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
