We are looking for a life insurance agent with amazing customer service skills to join our fast-growing insurance agency and help clients achieve their financial goals. You’ll serve on the front lines of insurance sales, helping new customers navigate our products, processing claims and inquiries, and developing an ever-growing lead list to secure new business. Compensation:
$75,000 - $95,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Maintain databases, records, and bookkeeping, ensuring all paperwork is up to date
- Develop a prospective customer base and advertise our insurance products through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other marketing strategies to secure new business
- Onboard incoming and retain existing clients via a variety of customer service tasks, such as appointment booking, and responding to inquiries regarding billing, coverage, eligibility, and insurance policies
- Determine new customers’ insurance needs, desires, insurance risk, prior coverage, and financial standing via booked consultations to ensure the best client experience possible
- Assist current policyholders during the insurance claims process while overseeing existing insurance claims
- Evaluate new customers’ insurance needs, insurance risk, existing coverage, long-term goals, and financial status through consultations to create a tailored experience that exceeds expectations
- Provide warm and professional customer service while onboarding new clients and maintaining existing clients, including booking appointments, inquiry responses, insurance eligibility, and questions concerning billing and insurance policies
- Grow new business by generating a prospective client base via networking, asking for referrals, and other marketing strategies
- Stay abreast of insurance industry protocols and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of all policy requirements, continuing education, and monitor insurance portfolios to ensure mutual satisfaction
- Attend training and obtain relevant licenses in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous health insurance or life insurance experience a plus
- Active Life & Health insurance license is a strong bonus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Customer service or experience as a sales representative are highly valued
- Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work effectively and independently
- Outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships (i.e., “People Person") and a sincere desire to help others
