Job DescriptionOperations Manager – Keysteel Corp.

Location: Concord, NC

SUMMARY

The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, safety standards, and production efficiency. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. The Operations Manager will serve as the key liaison between the plant and the corporate office, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans while maintaining a strong leadership presence on the production floor.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the corporate office to implement strategic goals, KPIs, and compliance standards.
  • Supervise and support a team of 15–20 employees, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor inventory, raw materials, and supply chain coordination.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Drive cost control, process optimization, and productivity improvements.
  • Report regularly on operational performance, staffing needs, and facility issues.
  • Responsible for driving growth through active management of all internal processes (quoting, prototypes and product launch, lead-time expectations) and is fully responsive to customer needs.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop staff to achieve not only business goals, but to create a world-class culture and an engaged workforce.
  • Effectively plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for all departments to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Oversee a higher quality product and support the process and collaboration.
  • Oversee company financial health and report performance and financial data to CEO.
  • Monitor and control direct and indirect costs of expense and capital budgets to meet annual operation plan and strategic deployment action plan.
  • Plan and control production capacity and resources to support product sales. Identify the needed labor and ensure that the necessary effort is applied in production areas to ensure correct flow to meet the production schedule.
  • Oversee inventory, capacity (capital & labor) against service commitments.
  • Establish and track quality and cost improvement programs. Involved in departmental and organization quality programs.
  • Develop internal network with other Keysteel operations to facilitate best practice sharing and capital footprint optimizations.
  • Establish, implement, and revise policies and procedures relating to all operations.
  • Report on site-specific activities and performance metrics. Provide periodic updates and special status reports as requested by management and customers.
  • Create and maintain communication process within facility to ensure that all employees are fully engaged and informed, and their efforts are aligned with the business.
  • Manage processes necessary to identify and fix/diffuse employee issues and maintain positive employee relations across all departments.
  • Ensure company monthly sales, production and KPIs are met.
  • Lead plant employees and strive for excellence across the board.
  • Monitor and enforce all plant and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, or production management
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management, and process improvement tools
