About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager (PMP) to lead the conceptualization, design, and organization-wide implementation of a new Project Delivery System (PDS). The PM will manage the initiative from inception through deployment, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership. The role requires advanced expertise in overseeing large-scale hardware, IT, and software integration projects; demonstrated experience in the development and rollout of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) within transportation or infrastructure agencies; and a proven ability to deliver complex, high-stakes projects under stringent timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Qualifications (Applicants who do not meet these will not be considered)
- Active PMP certification must provide certification number and expiration date.
- 15+ years of experience managing enterprise IT, software, or hardware system implementations, preferably for large public transportation systems
- Hands-on experience with Kahua or a comparable PMIS platform (e-Builder, Unifier, or Procore).
- Ability to work onsite four (4) days per week in the NY/NJ region.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives within demanding timelines
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical teams, managing external vendors, and directing end-to-end system integrations
- Extensive experience in requirements analysis, solution architecture, system testing, and full-cycle deployment of enterprise-scale systems or PMIS within an Engineering Department environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convey technical information clearly to both executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Agile, Scrum, or ITIL certification
- Prior experience implementing or managing systems built on the Kahua PMIS platform
