Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience with kids with special needs: 1 Year (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing Behavior Plans:Behavior technicians put into practice individualized behavior support plans, which may include teaching new skills and reducing challenging behaviors.
• Data Collection:They meticulously record data on client progress, tracking skill acquisition and behavior changes.
• Collaboration:They work closely with the BCBA and other professionals (e.g., therapists, teachers, parents) to ensure consistent and effective treatment.
• Training:In some cases, they may also train parents and caregivers on how to support the client's progress.
• Communication:They communicate regularly with the treatment team, providing updates on client progress and any challenges.
