Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed for the current school year to support students in a middle or high school inclusion classroom setting. This contract position is located in Williamsburg, VA, and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the educational development of students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing assessments and adjustments to instructional strategies
- municate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding academic and behavioral goals
- Maintain accurate records and ply with all special education regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle or high school students in an inclusion or similar setting
- Strong understanding of special education practices and individualized instruction
- Excellent munication and organizational skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
