Founding Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time
 
We’re hiring a Founding Engineer for a well-funded early-stage startup backed by top-tier investors and experienced founders. If you’re excited about building from zero, owning major technical decisions, and working closely with the founding team—this is your shot.
 
What you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Build and iterate on the MVP alongside the founders</li>
<li>Own key parts of the codebase, architecture, and infrastructure</li>
<li>Make foundational decisions that shape the company’s tech direction</li>
<li>Help hire and mentor early engineering teammates</li>
</ul>
 
What we’re looking for:
<ul>
<li>3–8 years of experience shipping production code</li>
<li>Strong full-stack skills (frontend/backend/infrastructure)</li>
<li>Bias toward action and comfort with ambiguity</li>
<li>Passion for early-stage company building</li>
</ul>
 
Bonus if you have:
<ul>
<li>Prior startup or founding team experience</li>
<li>Experience with modern web stacks (e.g., React, Node, Python, AWS, Postgres)</li>
<li>Interest in taking on engineering leadership over time</li>
</ul>
