Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse
Location: Lubbock, Tx & Hobbs, New Mexico
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Peritoneal Dialysis Nurse to join our team in Lubbock Tx, while managing a small patient load in Hobbs, NM 2 days a week. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis treatment. You will work closely with patients and their families to ensure they receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer peritoneal dialysis treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians
- Assess patients' conditions and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about peritoneal dialysis treatment and self-care techniques
- Monitor patients' vital signs and lab results to ensure optimal treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of current best practices in peritoneal dialysis treatment
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Texas with the state of New Mexico preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in peritoneal dialysis nursing preferred
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation
