Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Worker - Clean & Assembly
Job Description
The Production Worker is responsible for preparing final products for shipment by applying proper hardware and labels based on customer specifications. This role involves routine cleaning and wiping down of all fabricated products after welding and before they proceed to the paint booth, ensuring readiness for paint and shipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare final products for shipment by including and applying proper hardware onto the product.
- Adhere proper labels to products based on customer specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and wipe down of all fabricated products after welding and before painting.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating a forklift, specifically sit-down models.
- Proficiency in using a tape measure.
- Experience in steel manufacturing and production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor and machine operation.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods of time.
- Capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Employees should be prepared to work in conditions that may be hot, cold, or humid. The 2nd shift hours are from 3:25 PM to 1:55 AM, with mandatory Friday hours from 1:30 PM to 9 PM, continuing through the end of 2025.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
