Full-Time Clinical Assistant for Orthodontic Practice
Varble Orthodontics (Creve Coeur & Saint Peters) is looking for an amazing Clinical Assistant to join our incredible team as a full-time assistant. The ideal candidate loves kids and is professional, friendly, detail-oriented, responsible and a team player. Experience in orthodontics is required.
Starting at $20.00+ Per Hour
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive and professional demeanor with patients, parents and office team members
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
- A thorough knowledge of dentistry and/or willingness to learn
- Strong computer skills; preferably knowledge of Ortho2 Edge
- Ability to work Monday - Thursday, 7:15 am to 4:30 pm (opportunities for additional hours)
- At least one year of orthodontic clinical experience
As a Clinical Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, greeting patients and parents with a warm and welcoming smile, and providing instructions on proper oral hygiene. You will be responsible for taking x-rays, facial photos, and intra-oral photos, as well as using the iTero scanner. Assisting the doctor clinically and supporting special needs patients will be key components of your role. You will also enter treatment plans based on the doctor's exams, check patient charts to ensure accurate documentation, and possess a thorough knowledge of tray setups for the doctor. Additionally, you will collect and review health updates, document referrals, and walk patients and parents to the front desk while explaining the treatment provided during the visit, as well as any necessary future treatments.
