Our organization is excited to present a fantastic full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join our practice in Ontario, Oregon.

With a network of over 500 healthcare providers, we emphasize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our practice holds QOPI certification and is accredited by the Commission on Cancer through the American College of Physicians.

As a member of our team, you will collaborate with a dynamic group of hematology/oncology specialists, delivering advanced treatments to our communities. Our integrated program features exceptional surgical expertise, including the only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist in the state. We also take pride in our innovative initiatives, such as lung cancer screening, a lung nodule clinic, advancements in neuro-oncology, and extensive clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.

Support Offered:

  • Comprehensive cancer center providing medical, radiation, and surgical oncology services
  • Nurse navigators, social work assistance, genetic counseling, and nutritionist services
  • A dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit with a full-time Oncology Hospitalist
  • Weekly tumor boards featuring fellowship-trained surgeons

Work Schedule:

  • 4-day work week with 32 patient contact hours
  • On-call rotation of 1:9, covering evenings and weekends (hospitalist coverage Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)
  • Work in Ontario, OR (located on the Oregon/Idaho border, approximately 1 hour from Boise) for three days a week, with outreach in Baker City, OR (about 1 hour from Ontario) one day a week

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, have successfully completed an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology Oncology fellowship, and hold Board Certification in Internal Medicine as well as Hematology Oncology. Certification must be obtained within three years of employment. Additionally, candidates must secure medical licensure in Oregon and Idaho, along with privileges at SAMC - Ontario, SAMC - Baker City, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary. A valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA is also required.
