Position Overview
Our full-service, boutique firm is seeking a growth-minded Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and strategic planning for a diverse client portfolio. This hybrid role (3 days/week in our San Jose office) offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, deliver tailored tax strategies, and contribute to a firm known for its responsiveness and personalized service. We are also open to Remote candidates nationally.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax returns (Individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, 1065).
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize financial outcomes.
- Conduct tax research and stay current on evolving regulations.
- Support and manage tax audits, including documentation and client representation.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax-related reporting.
- Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
- Review tax accounting practices and ensure precision in reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws.
- Proficiency with tax software and analytics tools.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in risk management and corporate tax strategy.
