We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. This position involves driving a box truck, delivering goods, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires loading and unloading trucks, as well as interacting with customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive a box truck and ensure timely deliveries.
- Engage with customers professionally and courteously.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Pick and prepare orders for delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to all safety and traffic regulations.
- Ensure the safe transportation of hazardous materials.
- Haul and back up trailers or trailered equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience in driving and delivery.
- Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Forklift operation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to pick and prepare orders.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Comfortable driving F-450/stake bed truck.
- Clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Class C or D license.
- Ability to read maps and understand geographic areas.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older.
- Experience in safe driving under various road conditions.

Work Environment
This position operates from 6am to 2:30pm, with overtime as needed based on delivery schedules. You will be part of a diverse team of 28 employees, including warehouse staff, welders, office personnel, sales, and accounting. Our company is a construction equipment supplier, serving the greater Chicagoland area, NW Indiana, Southern WI, and down to Champagne, IL. We have a rich history of innovation and growth, starting as a wire rope distributor and evolving into a leader in construction equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
