We are a leading manufacturer of worker safety products and vehicles serving the telecommunications, utility, and satellite communications industries. Our new facility in Aurora, CO, houses multiple production areas including metal fabrication, trailer and van assembly, specialty vehicle builds, and an in-house tent shop.

As a Tent Fabrication Technician, you take pride in your work, maintain a clean and safe environment, and bring a customer-first mindset to every task. Whether you’re cutting materials, assembling frames, or supporting sewing operations, you thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced production setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesLevel 1 – Entry-Level Technician
- Cut fiberglass tent poles using chop saws and jigs while following strict PPE and safety protocols.
- Prepare vinyl, mesh, and insulation materials for sewing.
- Assist in assembling tent frames and hardware kits.
- Follow job travelers and templates with close supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Level 2 – Intermediate Technician
- Assist with tent skin layout and prep using digital files or templates.
- Operate power cutting tools and pneumatic equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings to build tent assemblies.
- Participate in quality reviews and troubleshoot material issues.
- Train Level 1 technicians and coordinate with sewing teams.
Level 3 – Senior Technician
- Lead specialized projects and prototype development.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test new materials and designs.
- Create and revise patterns using SolidWorks and nesting software.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead quality inspections.
- Mentor team members and manage task prioritization.

- Technical Aptitude: Skilled in material layout, cutting, and framing.
- Attention to Detail: Follows patterns and specs with precision.
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with sewing, kitting, and assembly teams.
- Process Discipline: Adheres to safety and quality standards.
- Leadership (Level 2 & 3): Provides training, mentorship, and workflow coordination.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Active production floor with moderate to high noise levels.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and repetitive motions.
- Daily use of hand tools, cutting equipment, and material handling gear.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training in textiles or sewing is a plus.
- Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
Travel
- Minimal to none; occasional travel for training or vendor visits may be required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
