A K-12 school in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position lasting the entire school year (NSY). This role involves providing psychological services to support student success and well-being across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and academic evaluations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute psychological expertise
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention when needed
- Assist with data collection and progress monitoring related to student performance and behavior
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license for the state of Illinois
- Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Familiarity with special education laws and best practices
