Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position lasting the entire school year (NSY). This role involves providing psychological services to support student success and well-being across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and academic evaluations
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute psychological expertise
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention when needed
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring related to student performance and behavior

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license for the state of Illinois
  • Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Familiarity with special education laws and best practices
