Twin City Staffing is currently hiring a temporary manual machinist to join a well-established machining company in Brooklyn Center, MN. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of manual machines in a clean, team-oriented environment. Location: Brooklyn Center, MN
Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Wage: $27 – $40/hr.

Duties of the manual machinist:
- Set up and operate manual lathes and mills, including:
- Fortune lathes
- Bridgeport ACRA mills
- Turret lathes
- Chevalier grinders
- Bridgeport Sharp machines
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Able to use precision measuring instruments
- Understand and work with metals such as steel, brass, and aluminum
- Ensure all finished parts meet quality and safety standards
Requirements of the manual machinist:
- Degree or trade school certification needed
- 2+ years of recent machining experience needed
- Solid knowledge of manual machining, cutting speeds, tool selection, and materials
- Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers)
- Hands-on experience with fluids, hydraulics, controls, instrumentation, and tooling
- Good hand-eye coordination; able to lift heavy loads
- Experience tracking raw materials/inventory
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and sound judgment
- Works well independently and in a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Pass background check, drug test, and E-Verify
