We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in general manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance. This position is available in the general Norwich, CT area. We are looking for leaders and team players to be part of our united team with the common goal of satisfying our customers and maintaining ourselves as leaders in our industry. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, and perform general maintenance duties. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation and assist in limiting equipment downtime by performing inspections, documenting issues, creating parts lists and work orders, and performing tasks to address and eliminate noted issues.
- Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns in a timely, professional manner
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Work with other departments to ensure that all systems are running properly
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years as an equipment operator in a manufacturing facility
- 2+ years’ experience with equipment maintenance, setup and production or packaging equipment adjustments.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Able to climb, bend, reach, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and handle products.
- Pre-employment physical and drug test
- Ability to work at least 40 hrs per week
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Reading wiring diagrams and electrical troubleshooting
- PLC & VFD troubleshooting is a plus

- Weekends as needed
- Driver's License (Required)
