Shift: M-F , 8:00a-5:00p
Pay: $75-$80 /hr
Contract: 3-month possible extension
Required Education:
Master's Degree in Audiology.
Skills:
-Previous hospital experience.
Duties & Requirements:
- NYS Audiology License required at start.
- Preferred experience with infants, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
- Small, comfortable department setting.
Job Summary:
Provide accurate and timely clinical audiology services to inpatients, outpatients, home-care patients, nursing home residents, staff, and community groups. Priority given to services impacting patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complete audiological evaluations (air, bone, speech) and middle ear analysis.
- Perform NICU hearing screenings, site-of-lesion tests, CAP testing, electrophysiological testing, industrial screenings, and ototoxic monitoring.
- Provide hearing aid evaluations, selection, fitting, follow-ups, and minor repairs.
- Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss and treatment options.
- Maintain medical records and comply with OSHM, JCAHO, and state standards.
- Prepare diagnostic reports for referring physicians.
- Assist with program development and quality assurance data collection.
- Provide services mandated by New York State and maintain community provider contracts.
