Part-Time Retail Associate – Pet Store

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Vestavia Hills is open and growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, pet-loving Part-Time Retail Associate to join our pack! If you enjoy working with animals, providing top-notch customer service, and being part of a fun, upbeat environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role
As a Pet Retail Associate, you’ll help pet parents find the best food, treats, toys, and accessories for their furry friends while keeping our boutique clean, organized, and welcoming. You’ll also schedule and confirm grooming appointments, assist customers with service inquiries, and help keep the grooming calendar running smoothly.
Schedule: Part-time | Must be available Monday–Saturday between 8:30 AM and 6:15 PM
Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide exceptional service to pets and pet parents

Assist with sales of premium pet food, treats, toys, and accessories

Schedule, confirm, and manage grooming appointments for multiple groomers

Communicate clearly with customers about grooming services, pricing, and policies

Maintain store cleanliness and merchandise displays

Operate POS/register and handle transactions accurately

Support the grooming team to ensure a smooth and efficient daily schedule
Qualifications

Love for animals and passion for helping pet parents

Previous retail, pet store, or customer service experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Reliable, friendly, and team-oriented

Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment

Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
