Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Opportunity in Construction and Industrial Settings
Step away from the bedside and into an exciting, fast-paced role that redefines nursing. Amphibious Medics is seeking full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our mission of providing top-tier health and wellness services directly in construction and industrial settings.
If you’re ready for a change from the hospital hustle or clinic routine, this is your chance to work with Amphibious Medics—the hardworking men and women who build our world. With an average of 2–3 patients per day, this role focuses on preventative care, injury management, and wellness support, giving you the time to truly connect with patients and make a lasting impact.
Why Join Amphibious Medics?
-
Innovative Nursing: Work outside the traditional medical environment, providing care where it’s needed most—on-site, where the action happens.
-
Quality Over Quantity: Say goodbye to overcrowded schedules and hello to meaningful, unrushed patient care.
-
Dynamic Work Environment: From towering construction sites to bustling industrial facilities, no two days are ever the same.
-
Empower Workers: Help Industrial Athletes stay strong, safe, and healthy, empowering them to excel at their jobs.
What You’ll Do
As an Amphibious Medics RN, you’ll wear many hats—clinician, educator, and advocate. Key responsibilities include:
-
Injury Prevention & First Aid: Provide triage, first aid, and referrals for more advanced care as needed.
-
Health Monitoring: Conduct routine wellness checks, including blood pressure, glucose, and other screenings, to promote overall worker health.
-
Case Management: Monitor and manage musculoskeletal injuries, ensuring proper care and follow-up while preventing recordable OSHA cases.
-
Ergonomic Support: Assess workplace ergonomics and recommend improvements to reduce injury risks.
-
Health Education: Deliver targeted training on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness tailored to construction and industrial settings.
-
Compliance Support: Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
-
On-Site Leadership: Collaborate with safety teams to identify and address potential health and safety hazards.
-
Site Assessment: We strive to support our clients in the field, not in the office! You will spend 65% of your day actively engaging with the workers.
What You Bring
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk a job site including climbing stairs while carrying a backpack up to 35 pounds in all weather conditions.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking skilled, adaptable RNs who thrive in non-traditional settings and are passionate about helping others.
Qualifications:
-
Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN).
-
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of employment.
-
Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS is a plus!).
-
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; occupational health, emergency medicine, or case management experience is highly desirable.
-
Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Background:
-
Experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes.
-
Previous work in occupational health, industrial, or construction environments.
-
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification (a bonus but not required).
Why You’ll Love This Role
-
Work-Life Balance: Enjoy regular hours without the grind of hospital shifts.
-
Impactful Work: Build relationships with workers and safety teams, making a real difference every day.
-
Professional Growth: Gain specialized experience in occupational health, ergonomics, and safety protocols.
-
Dynamic Challenges: Thrive in a variety of environments, from large-scale infrastructure projects to high-tech industrial facilities.
Benefits
-
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
-
Paid time off and holidays.
-
Opportunities for ongoing training and certifications.
-
A supportive team environment with a focus on health, wellness, and safety.

Company DescriptionAMPHIBIOUS MEDICS
A Veteran Owned Small Business
Amphibious Medics was founded by Mike Donoghue, a diver and set medic, to serve the marine side of LA media productions. We moved into the construction first aid industry after numerous requests from non-entertainment entities. We are now proud to be part of some of the most important construction projects and high profile productions in the country. In 2011, with a nationwide staffing network in place, the Amphibious Medics emergency response and dive teams were in position to “get dirty” with the nation’s largest obstacle racing events, including Tough Mudder and Spartan Race. The high energy excitement of these extreme events has ignited a passionate following among emergency services personnel across the U.S. who are eager to share in the professional challenge that comes with working as an Amphibious Medic.
Our nationwide network of medics are thoroughly screened by our multi-layered vetting process. To be an Amphibious Medic, membership in the National Registry of EMTs and Paramedics alone is not enough – our crew must demonstrate medical authority and responsibility. Attitude, professionalism, and personal appearance are all considered in the exclusive Amphibious Medics hiring process, assuring our clients that responsive and enthusiastic people, each with a passion to serve, are part of your project.
