SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, helps design and develop objectives and strategies for Marketing programs. Is responsible for the coordination and execution of special events and promotions, managing the players club, valet, gift shop, and box office. Manages operations and team members, communicate direction that creates a winning atmosphere for guests and team members. This role requires working closely with the marketing management and other key decision-making individuals to meet marketing and guest service objectives as well as providing feedback to the marketing department on specific issues as they relate to the club and to the guests.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic development, event creation and operational execution of all casino’s promotions.
- Supervision and development of promotional event staff.
- Plan and execute promotional casino events and tournaments to drive revenue.
- Analyze casino promotions for effectiveness; conducts post event reporting and ROI analysis.
- Effectively communicates to other department staff property wide regarding events and marketing programs. Monitor competitor programs.
- Assist with the design of casino décor for casino promotions; to include openings, anniversaries, holidays, specials events and promotions.
Players Club / Transportation
- Day to day management of the Players Club, Valet, and bussing program
- Manages Players Club supervisors and ensures staff development, evaluation, training and scheduling
- Execute plans for increasing membership in the Players Club
- Interviews and hires in consultation with Human Resources
- Identifies inefficiencies with current Players Club processes
- Provide solutions that transform the Players Club Operation
- Cultivate a service first environment
- Completes annual reviews for hourly Team Members.
Gift Shop
- Manage retail sales; including all activities related to profitability, planning, inventory control,
- tracking and expenses.
- Responsible for vendor selection, buying (in consultation with the Purchasing Department) and pricing
- of all merchandise.
- Prepares, maintains, tracks and reconciles the annual budget for areas responsible with Director of Marketing.
- Tracks invoices and conducts monthly reconciliation.
- Other Marketing duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years minimum experience Gaming/Guest Services Minimum 3 years in a leadership position
- Knowledge of POS and Patron systems (preferred)
- Assists with monitoring fiscal budget, operations of assigned department(s) and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long-term profitability
- Cash handling experience
- Retail and inventory management experience )
- Strong initiative and self-directed, ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Oversees operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department
- Responsible for delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
- Assists with the responsibilities for assigned department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, motivating job performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect and Team Member satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company s diversity commitment; compliance with company policies, legal requirements.
- Good organization and follow up skills
- Mathematical and analytical ability and be able to create and interpret analysis reports
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be vehicle insurable through Casino Pauma Agent
- Detail oriented with high accuracy level
- Ability to work flexible schedules to include nights and weekends
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of retail reporting systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent. College Degree preferred.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.

- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment
