Job DescriptionShipping Clerk
Our customer in Winthrop, Maine is looking for an experienced Shipping Clerk to join their busy manufacturing team. This will be a first shift, temp to hire assignment through our Staffing Agency.
The shift will be Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 4pm and the hourly rate will be $19/hour.
Prior experience in shipping is required.
Functions & Responsibilities
- Order processing
- Well organized and good attention to detail
- Maintain control and knowledge of the finished goods warehouse
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on time
- Communicate with Program Managers, inventory control and others on discrepancies that arise
- Proficient computer skills required
- Preparation and staging of outbound shipments for both parcel and freight
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventories of our finished products.
- Inventory cycle counting skills required
- Able to operate a forklift
- Participate in continuous improvement processes/problem solving
Job Requirements
- Ability to multi task
- A strong work ethic, physical agility and stamina.
- Basic math skills (adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing required)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to participate in problem solving in a team environment
- Prior experience in using forklift equipment required
