In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our engineering ecosystem—building the systems that keep development moving fast and smoothly. As a CI Engineer, you will shape the feedback loops that developers rely on every day, helping restore and maintain the health of a complex, evolving codebase.
We're looking for engineers with 2–4 years of experience in SRE or DevOps, who thrive in high-scale environments and love solving hard CI/CD problems. If you’re passionate about automation, reliability, and enabling seamless developer workflows, this role is for you.
What You’ll Own
- CI Infrastructure Management:
Administer and maintain the infrastructure powering our CI system—including build agents, runners, CI images, and worker pools. - Pipeline Architecture & Optimization:
Design, implement, and support scalable, reliable CI pipelines across diverse software use cases. - Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning:
Diagnose and resolve complex CI failures, dependency issues, and performance bottlenecks. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with CI platform engineers to continuously improve the reliability and efficiency of the CI platform. - Developer Experience:
Play a key role in delivering fast, trustworthy feedback loops to engineers across the organization.
Requirements
You are a systems-minded engineer who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep massive engineering efforts running smoothly. You are comfortable operating within large monorepos, crafting resilient pipelines, and scaling CI infrastructure to meet the needs of fast-paced development teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise with at least one major CI platform (e.g., Buildkite, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) including resource provisioning, autoscaling, and block storage management
- Strong understanding of containerization and Docker
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for build and automation tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Buildkite
- Experience working with modern build tools (e.g., Bazel, Gradle)
- Strong Git fundamentals and experience in a monorepo environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional settings
Benefits
Pay Rate: $66 - $71 per hour
