Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Swiss Machinist
Job Description

Perform setups on Citizen Swiss machines, measure parts with QC equipment, and maintain tooling and workholding to meet GD&T and quality standards. Basic CNC programming skills are nice to have but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Touch off tooling and set offsets (manual or pre-setter); create and maintain setup sheets.
  • Perform simple setups and ensure proper workholding; modify fixtures as needed.
  • Measure parts with CMM and hand QC tools; verify dimensions to blueprints.
  • Install, request, and report broken tooling and inserts; document tool life.
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, start points, and coordinate systems to optimize runs.
  • Stop production and report if scrap or quality issues arise; report setup overruns.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and follow SOPs, quality, and EHS/security procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Citizen Swiss or similar Swiss CNC machines.
  • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with CMM and QC tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic CNC programming knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and machine operating.

This is a Contract position based out of New Prague, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
