Position Summary:
The Office Support Specialist handles incoming calls, directing callers to the appropriate department or voicemail as needed. Welcomes visitors and customers with a professional and friendly demeanor. Provides general administrative support through a variety of clerical tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of each call, and route callers to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Greet and assist on-site visitors, announces their arrival to the appropriate staff, and ensures adherence to check-in and check-out procedures.
- Receive payments and update account records for walk-in customers.
- Receive deliveries and promptly notify the intended recipients.
- Send and receive information or document via computer, mail, or fax.
- Handle misdirected or returned mail and ensures proper redistribution.
- Monitor and process document scan requests submitted to the SCAN mailbox.
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
- Perform other clerical and administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience and/or training.
Education:
- High school diploma and or/GED
Skills Required:
- Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Houston, TX;
Qualifications Preferred:
- Experience handling incoming mail for a medium size mailroom.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
