Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing all payroll and human resources functions, including ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as managing benefits and other HR-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions accurately and on time, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

  • Manage payroll updates efficiently, such as new hires, terminations, and pay rate adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports related to payroll activities.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing payroll, wages, and work hours, while adhering to industry best practices.

  • Support audit processes by providing required documentation and records.

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes and human resources functions.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software tools.

  • Experienced in using payroll software systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience required.

  • Prior experience with Certified Payroll is preferred.
