Nurse Manager – PACU/Surgery
We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Surgery Center teams at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). This is an exciting opportunity to guide clinical excellence, drive performance outcomes, and support a culture of compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the PACU and Surgery Center, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director of Nursing to achieve departmental goals and quality initiatives.
- Uphold nursing standards as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics and Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Lead and mentor staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and quality initiatives.
- Support hospital mission, vision, and performance measures.
Qualifications:
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred, or enrollment in a Master’s program with completion within 3 years.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing management experience, preferably in PACU or surgical services.
- Minimum of two-three years management experience or progressive leadership experience.
- BLS, ACLS, PAL
Location: 3415 Bainbridge Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467
Work Hours: 12 PM-8 PM, Mon-Fri
Salary: $160,000.00-$195,000.00
