Salary Range: $71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, including COGS, production variances, and overhead allocation, to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, specifically for production volumes and inventory.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards, interpreting manufacturing performance metrics for management review.
  • Perform variance analysis of actual vs. budgeted costs, explaining deviations and recommending corrective actions for production operations.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals for new equipment, facilities, and process improvements, including ROI and payback period analysis.
  • Analyze inventory levels, valuation, and obsolescence risks, providing insights to optimize working capital.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis for product costing, pricing strategies, and manufacturing process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models for operational and production analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting large datasets and identifying key performance drivers.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor)
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide financial analysis supporting operational efficiency improvements
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling and automation
