Position Summary
We are seeking a solutions-oriented and mechanically minded Assembler with hands-on experience in robotic tooling and automation to join our team.
The Assembler is a critical, hands-on role responsible for the precise in-house assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems and components. This non-exempt position reports to the Operations Manager and plays a direct part in ensuring product quality meets stringent engineering and customer specifications. Core technical responsibilities include reading and precisely interpreting blueprints, schematics, and manuals, utilizing various precision tools and gauges (such as micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures), conducting quality inspections, and actively contributing to inventory management. This role also requires field service capabilities, performing occasional travel to customer facilities for maintenance, service calls, and equipment troubleshooting. The Assembler must communicate clearly with customers, Engineering, and Sales to provide feedback and discuss equipment issues. The ideal candidate must possess a valid driver's license and required experience reading and interpreting blueprints. Success in this position demands strong attention to detail, technical expertise, effective communication, and a proactive approach to identifying efficiencies
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assembles robot systems and other components and/or entire products according to directions.
- Conducts quality inspections on products and parts.
- Ensures quality of equipment meets both customer and engineering expectations and specifications.
- Prepares finished products for shipment.
- Utilizes various machines and hand tools including but not limited to micrometers, height gauge, and tape measure to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Reads and interprets instructions represented in manuals, drawings, blueprints and schematics or similar documentation and follows them with precision.
- Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; informs operations manager if supplies are needed.
- Communicates with Engineering, Sales, and Production to provide feedback on equipment design and functionality.
- Communicates with customers when needed to discuss equipment troubleshooting.
- Drives company vehicle when necessary to pick up supplies or materials.
- Travels to customer’s facility to perform service calls or maintenance when needed.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) is preferred. One year experience reading and interpreting blueprints is required. Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly or other related field is preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Other Qualifications: Valid driver’s license required

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the individual needs to frequently move about the shop floor and will occasionally travel to customer locations. The individual will move in and out of a company vehicle. They must be able to legally follow state and local laws while operating a vehicle. They must be able to position themselves to perform inspections and maintenance on equipment and machinery, including underneath and above the object being assembled, and must be able to reach over head to retrieve materials needed. Occasionally this individual will ascend/descend a ladder to retrieve materials. They are frequently using powered and non-powered tools and motorized equipment, such as forklifts, to complete work. Occasionally, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 30 percent of the time, while operating their computer and performing office work. Must be able to move up to 75 pounds. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other employees, management, customers and vendors throughout the service process; and must be able to detect electrical / mechanical issues from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken.
