Job Summary
At Art of Drawers, Designers are the heart of our company. They transform client frustrations with cluttered, disorganized spaces into beautifully functional homes. Our Designers focus on solving real problemsnot pushing productsby offering thoughtful advice, personalized designs, and expert recommendations during in-home consultations.
Were seeking individuals who are creative problem-solvers with a genuine desire to help people, backed by strong communication skills and a passion for design. Successful Designers understand how to treat clients with respect, listen attentively, and educate them on the possibilities Art of Drawers can provide.
This is a flexible, commission-based opportunity, ideal for individuals looking for either part-time flexibility or a larger commitment. Designers create their own schedules and enjoy a mix of in-home consultations and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home design consultations with prospective clients
- Capture detailed measurements, designs, and photos; upload promptly to our system
- Prepare estimates, take client deposits, and manage follow-up communication
- Collaborate with Installers to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain accurate client records and manage pipeline opportunities
- Attend initial and ongoing product and sales training sessions
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience (in-home sales is a plus!)
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize technology for design, documentation, and communication
- Strong organizational skills and professional written/verbal communication
- Friendly, competitive, and self-motivated personality
- A genuine passion for helping people solve problems through design
