Job Title: MRO Specialist
Reports To: Department Manager

Primary Function:
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing all activities and processes related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), including maintenance planning, inventory management, supplier management, system management, cost control, compliance with regulations, performance monitoring, and collaboration with other departments to ensure quality and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities. This includes routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and urgent repairs.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of MRO supplies. This includes tracking the usage of materials, forecasting future needs, and ensuring there are sufficient supplies for maintenance activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for MRO supplies. Negotiate contracts and, ensure timely delivery of materials, and manage vendor relationships.
- Work closely with the IT department to introduce and optimize the MRO system. This includes system updates, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Monitor and control the costs related to MRO. This includes negotiating favorable pricing with vendors, minimizing wastage of materials, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities and MRO supplies comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Regularly review and report on the performance of the MRO process. Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes.
- Work closely with other departments, such as operations and finance, to ensure smooth execution of MRO activities.
- Ensure the quality of MRO supplies and workmanship in maintenance activities. Implement and enforce quality standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Relationship Management
- Partners with maintenance, production, and facilities teams to ensure availability of parts and supplies.
- Coordinates with vendors and procurement teams to track orders and manage supplier performance.
Self-Management
- Maintains precise records of parts usage and inventory.
- Demonstrates responsibility in cost tracking, urgent requests, and aligning with maintenance schedules without being micromanaged.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in MRO, supply chain, or maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
