Position Overview
The Line Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of transmission and distribution systems. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to create detailed engineering designs using CAD software. The Line Engineer will work closely with project managers and other engineers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop transmission and distribution line systems
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines are met
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for proposed projects
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate design effectiveness
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in transmission and distribution engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with PLS CADD is a plus
