• Transportation materials testing & lab services

Position Overview
This position offers engaging and diverse work in the field and laboratory, supporting infrastructure and construction projects throughout the region. We're seeking motivated individuals ready to contribute to our high-quality service standards and grow within our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct asphalt and concrete field and plant inspections.
• Perform field observations and materials sampling/testing during roadway construction.
• Execute laboratory testing on construction materials including asphalt, soils, and concrete.
• Perform nuclear density gauge testing on soils and asphalt pavements.
• Cast and collect field samples of concrete, masonry, grout, etc. for strength verification.
• Pick up construction material samples and transport them to the lab.
• Accurately document findings and test results.
• Communicate findings with the Project Manager and ensure accuracy of data before submittal.
• Submit all required reports and documentation as directed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and occasionally to out-of-town job sites.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, directions, project specifications, and construction plans.
• Physically able to lift, move, bend, climb, and work in various outdoor conditions and terrains.
• Capability to obtain necessary industry certifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word).

1. NJSAT HMA Field Technologist and Asphalt Plant Technologist: $31.00/ hour plus sign-on bonus.
2. ACI Field Technician & Laboratory Technician: $31.00 / hour plus sign-on bonus.
3. Asphalt Plant NJSAT Level II Certification: $35.00 / hour plus sign-on bonus.
