JOB SUMMARY
The Repair Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines to ensure effective performance. Specifically CNC equipment.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
1.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
2.
Follows diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturers instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
3.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listens to problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
4.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices by using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools by examining form and texture of parts.
5.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
6.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
7.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
8.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
9.
Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
10.
Places and expedites orders, verifies receipt of orders.
11.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
12.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
13.
Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
14.
Assembles items as instructed by supervisor/manager.
15.
Follows all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures.
16.
Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels.
17.
Adheres to standardized work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
18.
Keeps work areas clean and organized while taking care of all equipment and facilities.
19.
Other duties as assigned
