La Clochette Du Coin in San Diego, CA is looking for one assistant manager to join our 25 person strong team and a very fast growing company. We are located on 4680 Cass Street, San Diego.
We are looking for an assistant Manager that can ensure all daily operations and activities run smoothly and efficiently for our cafe.
We believe that the ideal assistant manager responsibilities include ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients based on the needs, enforce rules and regulations, manage the staff performance, and supervise the service. To be successful in this role, we believe the person should be familiar with our operations and have a great understanding of what makes a great customer service. As such we require you to have experience in the field of restaurant management roles.
Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working, and also able to work weekends. Ultimately you will help us conduct many projects in the store and beyond, minimize costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Job type: Full-time
Pay: starting from $59,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders
- Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-ups
- Ability to consistently monitor team performance and evaluations
- Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
- Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance and security standards are met
- Staff and schedule appropriately to control labor costs with our systems
- Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed
- Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place
- Coordinate communication between the front of the house and the back of the house staff
- help in arranging for new employees' proper onboarding (scheduling training and evaluation)
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
- Gather guests' feedback and recommend improvements to our menus and service.

- Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
- Skilled in customer service, problem solving, cost controls, inventory, implementing policies
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant
- Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
- Work experience as a restaurant assistant manager or similar role in the hospitality industry a must
- Familiar with restaurant management software and backend systems
- Customer service attitude
