Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K-12 educational setting located in Hayward, CA. The role is contract-based for the current school year (CSY), providing valuable experience in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing speech therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Implement treatment plans designed by the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other staff to support students communication development
- Participate in team meetings and assist with assessments as directed
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA credential or certification
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably K-12
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
