Duties May Include:

  • Receive telephone calls and greet visitors, ascertaining nature of calls/visits
  • Direct clients to appropriate program managers within the M&FRC
  • Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and provide complete information addressing routine/procedural issues
  • Input data into AFFIRST and other government systems for Pre-Separation, TAP GPS, ETAP, VA Benefits Briefings, Education Track, Technical Skills Track, Entrepreneur Track, and Capstone Events
  • Schedule personnel for all A&FRC programs and seminars using AFFIRST system
  • Prepare, print, and fold M&FRC pamphlets and ensure marketing handouts are stocked
  • Monitor and assist clients using QoL-net computers and peripheral equipment (fax, printers)
  • Maintain front desk appearance by organizing chairs, keyboards, materials, and publications
  • Maintain accuracy of data and resources in AFFIRST and DIMS systems
  • Keep current information on service organizations and make appropriate referrals
  • Determine client needs for family issues and connect with appropriate staff
  • Provide monthly data entry reports to M&FRC Flight Chief by 5th working day of month

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma minimum
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a data entry environment
  • Strong working knowledge of data entry devices and electronic format input
  • Proficiency with Web-based applications, MS Office Word, Excel, and other MS Office Suite products
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in customer support and business environment
  • Ability to operate personal computer and Microsoft software applications
  • Fluent in English (speak, write, read, and understand)
  • Must be U.S. citizen, U.S. Armed Forces military retiree, U.S. military dependent registered in DEERS, or U.S. government employee
  • Ability to obtain required base access credentials

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in military family support or similar customer service environment
  • Knowledge of military transition assistance programs
  • Experience with government database systems
  • Familiarity with Air Force procedures and terminology
