Key Responsibilities
• Conduct human health risk assessments for chemicals, ingredients, and finished products
• Interpret toxicity study data and apply global hazard and risk frameworks (e.g., GHS, CLP, SCCS)
• Retrieve and evaluate hazard and exposure data from authoritative sources (e.g., ECHA, EPA, FDA)
• Communicate complex scientific findings to regulatory bodies, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop safety strategies and regulatory submissions
• Apply New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and support initiatives to reduce animal testing
• Contribute to modeling efforts including PBPK and inhalation exposure assessments
Required Qualifications
• PhD or Master’s degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Environmental Health, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in human health risk assessment
• Strong understanding of toxicity study protocols and adverse outcome pathways (AOPs)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, OECD QSAR Toolbox, and US EPA CompTox Dashboard
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Attributes
• Experience in safety assessment of pest control, cosmetics, or personal care products
• Familiarity with OECD and OPPTS guidelines
• Expertise in endocrine disruptor evaluation and inhalation exposure modeling
• Passion for applying innovative methodologies in toxicology and risk science
