Job DescriptionDescription:

SUMMARY: The primary function is to support and administer HR processes and programs in alignment with company policies and HR best practices. This position ensures compliance will all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with other HR Team members.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties.

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of employee policies and procedures.
  • Conduct new hire orientations. Coordinates and plans schedule for incumbents and participating stakeholders in the onboarding process.
  • Maintain and update New Hire Orientation program content.
  • Processes employee terminations through HRIS and communicates with other stakeholders to ensure Exit procedures have been completed.
  • Conducts exit interviews: analyze feedback and prepare data for management review.
  • Supports benefits administration, including open enrollment and life event changes for Evolution Motion Solutions.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and 401(k) plan; troubleshoot service issues as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and update job descriptions; collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare Leave of Absence documentation and manage short-term disability STD Claims.
  • Files Workers Compensation claims and manage Unemployment claims.
  • Prepare, either directly or through others, periodic external compliance reports.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administer drug testing as applicable.
  • Other duties may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 to 7 years in Human Resources Generalist role.
  • Prior Onboarding experience and benefits administration.
  • HR experience supporting a diverse multi-state workforce.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and compliance.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting items such as a laptop computer.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee typically works in a standard office environment. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Infrequent work outside of regular business hours may also be necessary.
