National Therapy Center is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Recruiting & HR Coordinator to support our growing Human Resources function, who is a highly organized and motivated professional to support recruitment, onboarding, and HR compliance in a hybrid, entry-level role.
This part-time position (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) will grow to full-time after 90 days. Ideal for someone pursuing a career in HR, this role offers hands-on experience, flexibility, and exposure to healthcare HR practices within a mission-driven pediatric therapy organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent & HR Coordinator Support (Primary - 60%)
- Draft, post, and maintain job listings across internal and external platforms.
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Conduct reference checks and credentialing verifications, as well as prepare offer letters.
- Track onboarding tasks and assist with new hire orientations.
- Maintain accurate personnel files in compliance with HIPAA, I-9, and internal policies.
- Monitor licensure and certification expiration dates.
- Support internal audits and HR compliance efforts.
- Maintain ATS (applicant tracking system) and assist with monthly recruitment metrics.
- Participate in community job fairs, recruitment events, and assist with branding initiatives.
Compliance & Administrative Support - (Primary - 20%)
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Track CPR certifications, annual policy acknowledgments, and other employee compliance documents.
- Maintain confidentiality across all HR communications and data.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of HR.
Backup Front Desk Coverage (10%)
- Serve as in-person coverage for front desk staff during absences.
- Greet clients, manage phones, and support scheduling.
- Maintain front office professionalism and HIPAA compliance.
Backup Intake Coordination (10%)
- Assist with scheduling initial evaluations and verifying insurance benefits.
- Track client intake progress and communicate with internal teams.
- Support client onboarding across clinical departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, administrative, or customer service support preferred
- Experience working in a hybrid or remote environment is required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data with professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must be available to work onsite two days per week at one of our locations (Bethesda, DC, or Silver Spring)
