Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical night shift position requiring a NJ or compact license and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is 1:6
- Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Must work every other weekend and cover holidays as scheduled
- Expected to float to the Ridgewood Observation Unit as needed
- Care for patients across a variety of age groups in accordance with licensure and regulatory standards
- Former permanent employees are not eligible for travel assignments
- Assignments may include both self-reported and facility-reported training modules completed during orientation and annually
- Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate if residing within a 75-mile radius
- Standard hospital dress code and compliance with required hospital protocols is expected

- Active NJ or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required for consideration
- One supervisory or manager reference from within the past year required for consideration
- Passing EKG/medication test may be required prior to start, depending on specialty
- Lab work must be started within 2 business days of acceptance
