Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - AWS Cloud position for our client in Atlanta, GA.

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using AWS services.
Lead the architecture and implementation of web-based UI solutions using React.
Integrate and manage streaming platforms, message queues, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ).
Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Provide guidance on cloud integration strategies, performance optimization, and system reliability.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and data engineers, to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Utilize Palantir and other data analytics tools to support application insights and decision-making.

Skills:

Strong expertise in Java development.
Deep experience with AWS cloud architecture and integration.
Proficient in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
Front-end development experience using React or similar web-based UI frameworks.
Knowledge of streaming platforms, message queues, and event-driven systems (Kafka, MQ).
Familiarity with Palantir or similar data analytics platforms.

Experience:

Proven experience as an application architect, software engineer, or similar role in cloud-based environments.
Hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable, secure AWS solutions.
Prior experience with streaming/queue technologies and modern web application development.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
